Gravity4 Acquires Retargeting Firm Triggit

Gravity4, a San Francisco-based marketing firm, on Friday announced its acquisition of Triggit, a retargeting company specialized in native ad units.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Gravity4, which has a demand-side platform (DSP) and data management platform (DMP), was launched last July by Gurbaksh Chahal, former CEO of RadiumOne. Triggit is Gravity4’s seventh transaction since launching.

Perhaps the biggest draw of Triggit is that it still has a seat on the Facebook Ad Exchange (FBX) -- and Triggit is a publicly named partner, not one of the so-called “shadow partners.”

Chahal said in a statement that the acquisition “introduce[s] native programmatic advertising” to Gravity4’s offerings. “We’re also thrilled to have one of the few direct seats on the Facebook Ad Exchange,” he added.
