Gemini Stars In Google AI's Latest Super Bowl Ad

Google will launch a major storytelling blitz for its generative AI search assistant Gemini in a Super Bowl LX ad set to air during the third quarter on Sunday.

This year’s Super Bowl ad, “New Home,” was created by the in-house Google Creative Lab team. Google also worked with the Park Pictures production company, and Daniel Mercandante directed the spot.

In the ad, a mother helps prepare her young son Ben for a move to a new home with help from Gemini.

In the 60-second spot, she asks Gemini to pull up photos of the new house, then drops in a picture of Ben’s current room to show him how his bed, toys and dog’s bed fits in the room.

Although the mom will not allow Ben have a trampoline in the backyard, together they imagine where to fit in the planters to grow vegetables, as well as other possibilities for their new life in the home.

The campaign will run across TV, online video, social, out-of-home, and influencer partnerships.

During Alphabet’s earnings call on Wednesday, the company said some of the products launched include Gemini 3 and Universal Commerce Protocol, which are designed to monetize emerging behaviors in search and agentic commerce across global platforms.

Alphabet and Google CEO Sundar Pichai said the company has managed to “lower Gemini serving unit costs by 78% over 2025 through model optimization, efficiency, and utilization improvements."

Gemini 3 Pro edition, for example, now processes three times as many daily tokens as its predecessor, with more than 8 million paid Gemini Enterprise seats sold and the Gemini app surpassing 750 million monthly active users.

A recent announcement with Apple and Reliance Jio further extended Gemini’s technological and reach. While Google advertising rose 14%, the Gemini app reached 750 million monthly active users.

Leading up to Super Bowl weekend, Google will run ads for Gemini around the Bay Area commuting area, with branded advertisements across billboards and in subways.

In partnership with Lyft Ads, Google is sponsoring thousands of Gemini-branded Bay Wheels bikes across the Bay Area, offering a $20 ride credit during the first week in February,

Gemini also sponsored EA Sports’ Madden Bowl, starring Luke Combs and Teddy Swims, on Friday.

On social platforms, the brand will roll out sports commentary-style videos with announcers showcasing various use cases for Gemini such as ways to identify a car’s fuse box.

New Home is the latest spot in the creative platform ‘A new kind of help from Google,' which is intended to show new and unexpected ways people can use Gemini to experiment and get creative.
