In an interview with Bloomberg television on December 30, Google chairman Eric Schmidt admitted what everyone pretty much knows already: the search behemoth missed the boat on social networking and is still struggling to make up for lost time.

Marijuana is now being legally sold for recreational use in Colorado, and Washington State is not far behind; meanwhile the sale of marijuana for medical use is permitted in 16 other states and the District of Columbia. As for the rest of the country, well, it may not be legal but it was still one of the top three cash crops (by value) in 30 states in 2006 according to drugscience.org.
