• 102 Million Wearables Ship, As Apple, Google Shift Focus
    The wearables market is growing, but even more significantly, it is shifting. The worldwide wearables market reached an all-time high in the last quarter, but there's some serious company pivoting going on, according to a new report. Shipments of wearable devices reached 34 million units in the last quarter of 2016, growing 17% from the previous year, according to the International Data Corporation Worldwide Quarterly Wearable Device Tracker.
  • Market Moving To Internet-Connected TVs
    The connected television is becoming more of a core home component of the Internet of Things and, depending on the demographic, an important device for certain markets. About three-fourths (74%) of U.S households have an Internet-connected TV, an increase of about 50% since 2013, according to the latest research from The Diffusion Group. This is not the only indicator of the shift from traditional to Internet-connected televisions, with streaming services to those connected TVs increasing.
