• Why Major League Baseball Is Winning Digital
    The Verge does a deep dive into Major League Baseball’s digital evolution. “Major League Baseball Advanced Media, or BAM for short … began as the in-house IT department for the league’s 30 teams, a small handful of employees originally tasked with building Web sites for teams and clubs,” it reports. “But over the last 15 years, BAM has emerged as the most talented and reliable name in streaming video, a skill set suddenly in very high demand.” 
  • Buzzfeed Poaches Another Top Newsman
    As part of a broader effort to establish its credibility as a serious news publisher, Buzzfeed is just brought on Stuart Millar, head of news at The Guardian. “It has now been revealed that he will be following the likes of Janine Gibson and James Ball from The Guardian to Buzzfeed UK,” the PressGazette reports. 
  • Vice Launches Female-Focused Content Vertical
    Vice Media just launched Broadly -- a female-focused digital media channel. “The digital channel, Vice's 11th, features editorial content and video covering politics, culture, sex and fashion,” The Hollywood Reporter writes. “The channel launches with several new series, including the fashion-focused Style and Error.”
