Snoop Dogg is getting another crack at the small screen with a new reality TV show set to run on E! this fall. The star already has a good TV resume that includes MTV's "Doggie Fizzle Televizzle" and plenty of appearances on other shows, like Showtime's "Weeds" and NBC's "Apprentice." The new series will follow his various endeavors, including raising kids, pushing a line of pet products and running a youth football league. Comcast Entertainment Group chief Ted Harbert, who is in charge of E!, announced the new series to a gathering of television critics in Los Angeles.

Elliot Engel is pushing a bill to create a federal advisory committee to help the transition from analog to digital broadcasting coming in 2009, while providing more money to inform consumers about it. The New York Democrat joins other powerful politicians, like House Commerce Committee Chairman John Dingell and Telecommunications Subcommittee Chairman Ed Markey, who are worried about lagging DTV awareness -- and that it could create a voter backlash. The National Basketball Association has inked a deal with Wrigley that will make five of the Chicago candy company's brands its "Official Chewing Gums." Terms of the multi-year deal were not disclosed, but the brands involved are Big Red, Juicy Fruit, Winterfresh, Doublemint and Spearmint Chibe. Sony Computer Entertainment America has told agency TBWAChiatDay that its estimated $100 million Sony PlayStation account will go into review, according to insiders. And while TBWA parent Omnicom Group tried to keep the review in the family, Sony has signed on consultancy Select Resources International to oversee it. TBWA isn't talking, and it has apparently not decided if it will try and keep the business. The agency has handled PlayStation and its game titles since it came out in 1994.
