B2B portal AdForum.com reports that advertiser searches for agencies rose in Q2. AdForum.com encompasses more than 17,000 agencies throughout the world and includes its signature site plus Advertising
Age in the United States, CB News in France, MediaGuardian in the UK, IPMark.com in Spain and Extradienst in Austria. Q2’s search numbers rose 34%, building upon already record-high numbers in Q1.
There were more than 4,500 searches in Q2, compared to 3,500 in Q1 and a little over 2,000 in Q2 2001. The data is extracted from composite searches that include fields for names, disciplines or
locations and criteria of competencies, business sectors, clients, size or creative work. There are more than 100,000 visits to the site per month, including 85% professionals and more than 1.4
million page views per month. Visitors come from 132 countries; agencies are located in 137 countries. In a prepared statement, AdForum.com VP Rob Drasin said the data showed a change in location of
users. “When the first quarter growth was mainly coming from Europe, it is now clearly coming from the United States, with Europe staying even.”
