Dotdash Meredith Suffers 27% Revenue Decline In November

IAC Dotdash Meredith had a rough month in November: total pro forma revenue fell by 27% YoY for its Dotdash Meredith unit, according to a preliminary report.

Digital revenue declined by 16% and print by 35%. Search dropped by 36%.

These pro forma numbers reflect the inclusion of Meredith revenue for all periods prior to the to Meredith acquisition on Dec. 1, 2021.

But the newly acquired Dotdash Meredith unit had a 531% impact on the company.

The firm’s Angi Inc. brand grew by 5%.

It is not yet known  if  these results reflect revenue and profitability. But an analysis by Seeking Alpha posits that traffic is down by 5% across all platforms, and that there is “a slight bloat of about 10% in the SG&A costs due to migration expenses.”

The company is “extremely undervalued” in the markets, it adds.
