Revenue Science Forms Corporate Advisory Board

Revenue Science, a provider of behavioral targeting services, today said it formed a corporate advisory board comprised of thought leaders in the advertising and marketing industries, from which it will seek feedback on product development.

The board members include: Bob Allen, an independent consultant and the former president and COO of Modem Media; Bob Bejan, a former MSN ad sales executive who is now CEO of Optimobius, Inc., a Seattle-based interactive media shop; David Cohen, senior vice president and interactive media director for Interpublic Group of Cos.' Universal McCann Interactive, New York; Robert Dorf, partner, 1to1 Ventures and a former co-founder and CEO of Peppers and Rogers Group; Marty Levin, former executive vice president of Jupiter Media Metrix, MSN ad sales executive, and founder of AdRelevance; and Alan Schanzer, managing partner, WPP Group's The Digital Edge/Outrider, New York.

"We're tried to put together a very deep group that encompasses both the requirements of the buyers as well as people who have lived through the fits and starts of the early Internet," said Bill Gossman, president and CEO, Revenue Science.

The group had a sneak peak at the company's new Audience Search product prior to its launch. Gossman said the timing was right for such a group, because "we're seeing incredible traction for behavioral targeting and audience search coming online. We want to help our publishers make informed decisions about how we build our products," he said.

The board--which held its first meeting in New York last month--will meet twice a year, and each member will serve a two-year term.

"The rest of the board and I are optimistic that behavioral targeting will help agencies and their clients optimize their marketing expenditures and drive better results," said board member Bob Allen.

"The notion of behavioral targeting is tantamount to 'I want to buy an audience,'" Gossman said. "Audience-based buying is one key theme of this company, and it's resonating very strongly with these leaders on the advisory board."
