Judge Mills Lane TV Show Canceled

(AP) - The verdict is in: Paramount has canceled the "Judge Mills Lane" show. The former Reno, Nev., judge's television program had low ratings, but new episodes will run through the summer. Lane said he'll concentrate on his Reno law practice and boxing promotion firm.

"You know, I'll tell you something, I feel so lucky having been able to be involved and have a little show for awhile," the 64-year-old told the Reno Gazette-Journal.

The former Washoe County district attorney gained national notoriety as a boxing referee when he disqualified Mike Tyson for biting off part of Evander Holyfield's ear in 1997.

He's known for his trademark call, "Let's get it on." He was appointed to a six-year term as a Washoe County judge in 1996 but resigned in 1998 to launch the TV show.
