  • September 11, 2001
In a cross-promotional agreement, sister companies Showtime Networks Inc., VH1 and Viacom Productions have joined forces to bring the first season of the hit SHOWTIME Original Series "THE CHRIS ISAAK SHOW" to VH1 in November. Under the agreement, Viacom Productions, which produces the series for Showtime, will license the first season of THE CHRIS ISAAK SHOW to VH1; and VH1 will air the 17-episode series and provide promotional, programming and online support for the series' second season debut. The second season, which will feature 17 new episodes of THE CHRIS ISAAK SHOW, will premiere on SHOWTIME in January 2002. As part of the agreement, VH1 will air promotional spots and bumpers across all VH1 platforms to promote the first season episodes on VH1, as well as the debut of season two airing on Showtime in January. VH1 will also host a CHRIS ISAAK SHOW Marathon featuring all of the first season episodes aired back-to-back, and develop a sweepstakes offering viewers a chance to win a walk-on role on the series. Chris Isaak himself will also appear on various VH1 programs, including the VH1 Top Ten Countdown, VH1/Vogue Fashion Awards, My VH1 Music Awards, and the annual VH1 Divas Live special. In addition, VH1.com will also provide online support, featuring THE CHRIS ISAAK SHOW on banners, webpage coverage and subscription opportunities.
