Sprint Taps Digitas Chicago and Leo Burnett

Sprint is moving its account to Publicis Groupe, with Digitas Chicago the lead agency and Leo Burnett providing creative support. Sprint spent nearly $559 million on advertising through the first six months of 2011, according to Kantar Media. The account was pulled from San Francisco-based Goodby, Silverstein & Partners, which had managed advertising for Sprint since 2007.  Digitas' "Team Sprint" will manage brand strategy, advertising, digital, offline media, digital buying and analytics, while Chicago-based Leo Burnett will lead the creative efforts.
