Aberdeen Report Says CheetahMail's Tops

  • February 3, 2003
CheetahMail has been chosen by Kent Allen of the Aberdeen Group to be included in Aberdeen's "What Works, Marketing Technologies - Best Practices 2002." The report, based on CheetahMail's extensive work with Crain Communications, Inc., concludes that "this email supplier should now be considered at the front of the pack of leading email providers." In the Aberdeen report, Crain Publication CIO Thomasyne Hubert cited three main reasons Crain chose CheetahMail, "they had real smart people; they were one of the few that had an existing API to a content management system; and the reporting component was extraordinary." This led to unexpected results for Crain, who saw a dramatic growth in their opt-in subscriber list for newsletter emails and magazines. Also, with the help of CheetahMail's creative services team, a redesign of a newsletter resulted in a doubling of opens and click-thrus, subsequently increasing the number of subscriptions to their paper publications.
