PBS affiliates will air The Concert For World Children's Day beginning Aug. 7 on its 171 member stations. The concert was the centerpiece of World Children's Day at McDonald's, a global fund-raiser to benefit Ronald McDonald House Charities. The concert features performances by Celine Dion, Peter Cetera, Enrique Iglesias, Nick Carter and others, directed by Grammy-winning producer David Foster. It's being broadcast during the stations' pledge drives through the month of August, beginning Thursday. "Through the PBS broadcast, McDonald's and RMHC will continue to bring awareness to the World Children's Day Message and the ongoing initiative," said Ken Barun, president and chief executive officer of the Ronald McDonald House Charities. "We are excited to have our program being telecast to such a diverse and influential audience."
