  • October 6, 2003
For the CBS's 75th anniversary, the network will run a 30-second vignette every night through Saturday, Nov. 1, in the 8-8:30 p.m. time period. The vignettes feature televised CBS moments culled from news, primetime entertainment, sports, late night, daytime and children's programming. "CBS at 75 Moments" include Dan Rather presenting Walter Cronkite's live 1969 commentary when astronauts first landed on the moon; Amy Brenneman presenting a scene from the Emmy Award-winning 1974 civil rights movie "The Autobiography of Miss Jane Pittman," and Marg Helgenberger saluting the finale of "M*A*S*H." The vignettes began Sunday.
