Mad*Pow Boston App Puts Employees on the "Hotseat"

Design agency Mad*Pow and Context Communication worked together to create a mobile gaming app called “Hotseat.” The app is meant to turn those short breaks throughout the day into “meaningful activity” for employees.

The mobile app will sync with the calendar and insert scheduled 2-minute activity breaks throughout the day. When “on the hotseat” during the breaks, the employee is sent a reminder to do a variety of activities, including dips, stair climbing, and desk push-ups. If the employee completes the activity, they will earn points and track their progress over time.

The Mad*Pow team was led by Dustin DiTommaso, VP of user experience, Amy Cueva, CXO, and Brandon Baselice, art director.
