Yahoo! announced upgrades to Yahoo! Mail including a boost in storage space for free and premium users. Free email subscribers will be upgraded to 100-megabytes of storage, 25 times more than the
previous offering, while premium customers, including subscribers to SBC Yahoo! Dial and DSL, will receive 2-gigabytes of storage which is nearly 200 times the amount offered by most Internet service
providers. Yahoo! said it will remove graphical ads from Yahoo! Mail Plus and SBC Yahoo! Mail to increase mail speed, and will offer more than 50 million Yahoo! identifications to give consumers more
address options for their email accounts. The upgrades are part of a design overhaul for Yahoo! Mail.
