American Media announced Friday that Diane Newman, Shape Magazine's vice president and publisher, has been promoted to senior vice president and group publisher overseeing the titles for Shape, Natural Health, and Fit Pregnancy.

Shape's associate publisher Ann Taylor has also been promoted to replace Newman as publisher of the magazine.

Also at American Media, Carolyn Bekkedahl who was recently named president of the company's Active Lifestyle and Entertainment Group, will now have responsibility for Country Weekly and the soon to be launched automotive magazine, MPH (Maximum Performance Horsepower).
