When Blackberry released its new touchscreen phone earlier this year, the company changed its process for sending and receiving emails. On previous Blackberry devices, the company sent emails quickly
through its own encrypted network. For the BB10, the company's latest touchscreen device, they now send
email directly through the user's phone carrier. This means that the data is sent out
