  • October 8, 2013
Nymag.com redesigned its home page to deliver a better mobile experience and allow readers to share directly on social media. Performance improvement will be seen in faster page-loading time. Michael Silberman, General Manager, Digital Media, says: “The new page maximizes what worked on the previous design, while better highlighting our most popular content, including Vulture TV recaps and stories that are taking off with readers."

This brief notes that faster page load time is being improved as a part of the better mobile experience for NYMag.com users. This is an important step. Google has been emphasizing page load speed as an important factor is site rank, largely because of the growth in mobile. Since so many NYMag users use it for the event, activity and restaurant guides, it should benefit the users and the site. Our firm has been stressing improved page load speed for our clients because of the impact on overall site quality.
