Arena Media Networks Launched Digital Display Network in Sports Arenas

  • December 2, 2004
Arena Media Networks has launched a nationwide digital media display network at seven professional sports and entertainment arenas in top markets.

These networks allow advertisers and marketers to run full-motion, high-definition advertising. The current network spans NBA, MLB, NFL, NCAA, NHL, AHL, and WNBA arenas and stadiums as well as events including the ACC Sectional Finals for March Madness 2005 and the FedEx Orange Bowl 2005.

Initial arenas and stadiums within the network include: FleetCenter in Boston; MCI Center in Washington, D.C., SBC Center in San Antonio, Texas, and Conseco Fieldhouse in Indianapolis.

The network installs large high-definition flat-panel displays within arenas and stadiums and uses them to run full-motion video programming and to provide advertising, sports, and team information during games and other events. The displays are located throughout an arena or stadium in high-traffic locations such as box offices, food courts, restaurants, the tops of escalators, concession stands, and souvenir shops.
