McCann Acquires Boede, Boosts Tech Portfolio

McCann Worldgroup, the Interpublic sister agency of Universal McCann, has acquired Salt Lake City-based boede+partners, an integrated communications agency that focuses on the development of marketing programs for business-to-business and consumer technology companies. Effective immediately, the agency's name will change to McCann Erickson Salt Lake City. Terms of the purchase are not being disclosed. Founded in 2001, boede+partners currently has over $10 million in revenue and a staff of 80 people. Key clients include Microsoft, which is also a key McCann client, Unisys, SCT Corp, Plantronics, ClearOne and VeriSign, for whom b+p recently launched a global branding campaign.
