Spanish-Language Daily Hoy Goes Free In New York, L.A.

Tribune Co. Wednesday announced plans to convert its Hoy, its Spanish-language daily in New York and Los Angeles, to a free paper to boost its circulation. Hoy, which currently carries a cover newsstand price of 25 cents, was the subject of circulation misstatements that have contributed to a loss of advertiser confidence in the newspaper medium.
