Report: Al Gore News Channel Partners With Google, Relaunches In August

Newsworld International, the cable channel acquired last year by an investment group led by former Vice President Al Gore, will relaunch Aug. 1 under the name Current, reports The Wall Street Journal. The channel is aimed at viewers aged 18 to 34 will play to the online crowd. The channel has already struck a content deal with Google for a segment called "Google Current," which will features news about topics generating the most Google searches.
