GOP Rep Pushes Tougher Privacy Rules

Rep. Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) is pushing a bill to reinstate a tougher opt-in standard for use of certain types of consumer data. Ironically, she helped kill Obama-era privacy rules for Internet service providers. Her proposed rules go further than the old ones, experts say.
