Canada Suspends Pending Anti-Spam Rule Change

The Canadian government has suspended a pending change in the country’s anti-spam law, allowing class action lawsuits for sending of unsolicited emails, texts, instant messages and Facebook messages. The measure was scheduled to take effect on July 1, but has been held for further legislative study. Small businesses and charities oppose the rule.
