Radio Continues Transmitting Weak Ad Signals

Demand for radio advertising continued to languish in May, with total ad spending rising only 1 percent over May 2004, according to estimates released Tuesday by the Radio Advertising Bureau. That marks the fifth month of erratic results for radio advertising sales, which have risen only 1 percent year-to-date, according to the estimates based on a survey of stations in more than 150 markets. -- J.M.
