Ad Association Starts Podcast Series

  • July 8, 2005
Online industry followers can now hear words of wisdom from digital advertising and sales executives on MP3 players, thanks to a podcasting initiative of the Bay Area Interactive Group. The podcasts, which are 8 to 10 minutes long, and are hosted at the organization's Web site (www.sfbig.com), went live Thursday with interviews of Mark Stewart, OMD's Eastern regional managing director, and P.J. Pereira, AKQA's executive creative director, San Francisco. New interviews will be posted every week, said Jon Raj, vice president of advertising and emerging media Platforms at Visa USA and education chair of the Bay Area Interactive Group. Podcasts are also available through iTunes, Raj said. The feature launched with interviews Raj conducted last month at the Cannes Lions International Advertising Festival. Ad executives interviewed so far include Joanne Bradford, chief media revenue officer at Microsoft; Matt Freeman, CEO North America at Tribal DDB; Glen Sheehan, creative director, North America, Digital, at Young & Rubicam Brands; and Sean Finnegan, U.S. director at OMD Digital.
