Intel on Thursday said it was investing in a venture called ClickStar with Morgan Freeman to distribute movie rentals over the Internet. Details of the deal were no disclosed. ClickStar was formed by
Revelations Entertainment, a company Freeman created in 1996 with producer Lori McCreary. In order to prevent piracy, ClickStar will use digital-rights management software to monitor the allotted time
and content of downloads, according to a company statement. Technologies, including Digital Transmission Content Protection over IP, would play a role in streaming the movies to devices like TVs and
computers.
