NewBeauty magazine is partnering with talkshoplive, the online selling network, to walk readers through the products featured in its summer TestTube, its beauty subscription sampler.
The magazine will host its first talkshoplive program on Tuesday, Aug. 17, at 9 p.m. ET, to showcase the offerings and provide a sneak preview of the autumn TestTube.
“This is the way to experience luxury products you’re going to see right on the pages of NewBeauty magazine before you have to commit to buying them,” says host Amber Milt, senior director of video and multimedia, in a video preview of the episode, which also features Sarah Eggenberger, senior editor-at-large for NewBeauty.
The arrangement allows NewBeauty to serve its existing readers through talkshoplive’s embeddable player and its checkout capabilities. It will also grow its beauty audience through the talkshoplive network, states Bryan Moore, co-founder-CEO of talkshoplive.
“Until TestTube, the only way to try beauty products was to either go into a store or get a gift-with-purchase,” states Steffanie Attenberg. chief brand officer of NewBeauty. “We wanted to give our readers the opportunity to really use a product, have time to see the benefits, and, while it may sound like product poetry, fall in love.”
TestTube subscribers receive a tube with “an over-$200 value for an under-$200 price point,” the company says.
Viewers of the talkshoplive episode will receive a special offer for an annual TestTube subscription.
