Yahoo Non-Ad Revenues Up

Yahoo Inc. said yesterday that non-marketing revenues made up a quarter of its 2001 revenues -- nearly twice as much as in 2000 -- as the Internet media company aggressively tries to diversify its revenue base away from advertising. The company's CFO Sue Decker said non-marketing sales comprised 28% of total fourth-quarter revenue. In 2000, non-marketing services comprised 13% of total revenue. The company has started a variety of paid services in recent months.
