BBN Technologies has released a podcast search engine named PodZinger, based on advanced speech recognition technology. PodZinger's main competition at the moment is with video and audio search
startup blinkx. PodZinger is monetized with Google AdSense, and will also attempt to license its technology on an outsourced service basis to online audio publishers. PodZinger launched in beta in
September. PodZinger users can add podcast search results directly to their aggregators, including iTunes.
