Tulane University on Tuesday launched a rich media e-mail campaign attempting to encourage student registration following the chaos wrought by Hurricane Katrina. The interactive e-mails designed by
Performance Communications Group out of Chicago include a personal audio and video message from the university's president. The message is going to 20,000 dispersed students and faculty using
ExactTarget, an e-mail service provider based in Indianapolis. With this service, Tulane will know which e-mails were delivered and opened by the recipients.
