U.S. high-speed broadband Internet access subscriptions jumped 32.3 percent to a total of 42.9 million lines during the 12-month period ended in June 2005, but the U.S. still ranks only 12th in
worldwide broadband penetration, according of a report released Monday by the Federal Communications Commission.
