Hoy, a daily Spanish-language newspaper with national distribution, released updated circulation figures from the Certified Audit of Circulations (CAC) last week. The move represents a
significant step in repairing the damage to its publication's reputation caused by its involvement in a 2005 industry circulation fraud scandal. The new figures report an average daily circulation of
about 185,000, while
Hoy's weekend editions posted a total circulation of about 475,000.
Hoy has also increased its CAC audit schedule to twice a year, rather than once, as before. --
