iTunes Facing Lawsuit

Apple Computer said late last week it's facing a federal lawsuit charging it with creating a monopoly based on its iTunes digital music and video store. Consumers who purchase music or videos at iTunes, typically can't transfer the content to any portable devices other than Apple's iPods. The lawsuit was quietly filed in United States District Court for the Northern District of California July 21; on Dec. 20, Apple lost its motion to dismiss the case.
