Kaboose Revenues Rise 181%

Kaboose Inc., parent of such family-oriented sites as BabyZone and Amazing Moms, reported a 181% increase in first-quarter revenue year-to-year--$6.58 million in 2007 compared with $2.34 million in 2006.

First-quarter advertisers, the company said, included Honda, HP, Time-Warner, American Express, Citibank, Walgreens, Target, Wal-Mart, Abbott Labs, Albertsons, P&G, SC Johnson, Kimberly Clark, Kellogg's, Disney and Sony. Also during the quarter, Target was named as BabyZone's exclusive retail shopping partner.

Content-wise, Kaboose acquired Amazing Moms Inc., completed its acquisition of the photo-sharing site Bubbleshare, and launched KabooseTV, containing more than 100 videos for mothers.

Since the quarter ended, Kaboose has remained active, most recently naming AOL veteran Michael Fogarty as chief revenue officer and editorial veteran Dottie Enrico as BabyZone's publisher.
