Outside and Time Out Mags Go International

Cue Ball has brokered international expansion deals for Outside Magazine and Time Out, the firm announced yesterday. Mariah, Outside's parent company, will publish a Swedish edition of the magazine under license to ROC Nordic AB starting in April. Finnish and Norwegian editions will follow in 2005 and 2006, respectively. The deal marks Outside's first expansion outside the U.S. Under a separate arrangement coordinated by Cue Ball, Time Out Group will launch a TO-branded listings section in Spanish-language lifestyle title Chilango. Published in Mexico City, the title will be produced by Expansion S.A. de C.V. Time Out will also launch Russian-language titles in St. Petersburg and Moscow later this year, under license to Sobaka Publishing.
