Chrysler Dangles Dodge Magnum In Father's Day Promotion

  • May 14, 2007
Chrysler's Dodge division is running a Father's Day promotion in which the company is inviting fathers and kids to Philadelphia for a Father's Day picnic with a red wagon theme.

The Dodge brand is dangling a Dodge Magnum wagon for the promotion, which is intended to evoke the Radio Flyer wagons of one's youth.

On June 15, the company will select 15 fathers and their children--chosen among registrants at DodgeMagnumBigRedWagon.com--to participate in the "Dodge Magnum Big Red Wagon" challenge, which includes an outdoor barbecue on a giant Hemi-powered grill.

The fathers will compete in various obstacle courses intended to evoke traditional paternal skills, like throwing football passes and driving an obstacle course. The father who earns the best score gets keys to the Magnum, and all teams get a Radio Flyer wagon and other prizes.

Online registrants have to submit a 250-word essay about why a Dodge Magnum would be the ultimate Father's Day gift, and how the vehicle would make one a better father.
