Flickr Adds Seven Languages

The Yahoo-owned photo-sharing community Flickr has launched in seven additional languages, extending its service to readers of Spanish, French, German, Korean, Italian, Portuguese and traditional Chinese. Over half of Flickr members already use Flickr in regions outside the United States, so this new language support is expected to increase that trend. To make the service truly universal, Yahoo has considered adding computer-based translation technology and simple messages, making it easier for people of all nationalities to understand them.
