CIOs To Up Spending in '04

According to December's CIO Magazine Tech Poll, CIOs, on average, plan to increase spending +6.0% (up from 4.2% last month) over the next twelve months. In particular, CIO Magazine Tech Poll panelists report they expect to spend 12.0% of their IT budgets on developing business over the Internet (B2B2C) during the next 12 months. This is slightly above the 10.4% reported spent over the previous 12 months. Overall, panelists expect to generate 9.4% of their revenues from Internet activity (B2B2C) over the next 12 months, compared to 6.9% during the previous 12 months. This is below last month's levels of 11.5% and 9.5%, respectively.
