John Battelle's Federated Media has added a new technology and gaming videoblog news show produced and hosted by Morgan Webb to its network of author-driven "conversational media sites."

"WebbAlert" was described as a daily four-minute round-up show that looks at eight to ten of the most interesting technology and video game news stories from around the blogosphere. Episodes will initially premiere at 5 a.m. EST Monday through Thursday, with Friday shows to be added in the fall.

Webb will continue as host of "X-Play," a video game-focused series on the G4 cable network.
