California debut the service in July. Now AT&T has made it available in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee after a three-city trial proved successful.
The service enables callers to receive a listing for businesses or category of business at no cost. Callers will hear short audio ads before receiving the number--or, when available, before being connected directly to the business that they select.
The service gives local and national advertisers several options to reach consumers: category ads, requesting listing ads, redirect ads, and sponsorship ads. The service is accessible from any landline and wireless phones.
