Mazda Goes 'Zoom-Zoom' With Global Mag

  • October 2, 2007
Mazda is launching a custom-published owner-loyalty magazine called Zoom-Zoom, a global magazine which actually launched mid-September.

The magazine--in five languages and in eight countries in North America, Europe and Australia and New Zealand--claims global circulation of 1.5 million.

In the U.S., 283,000 copies and in Canada, 327,000 copies are being delivered to Mazda owners.

The effort is via Toronto-based Redwood Custom Communications, which is delivering different content depending on country. The first U.S. edition has a racing feature about Mazda Raceway at Laguna Seca and a Canadian version has a piece about a Hollywood stunt person from Toronto.

All issues detail the 40th anniversary of the rotary engine, featuring kudos by the likes of Jay Leno. Other content includes a robot that skates, an electric guitar for frequent flyers, and the sport of River Bugging--cruising down a river on what looks like an inflatable armchair--along with other content.
