Former
Mademoiselle publisher Lori Burgess is returning to Conde Nast to become publisher of
House & Garden, following the departure of Brenda Saget last week. Burgess oversaw
Mademoiselle until November 2001, when Conde Nast closed the fashion title. Burgess has been publisher of Hachette Filipacchi’s Elle magazine since leaving
Mademoiselle. In February,
House & Garden raised its rate base by 25,000 to 800,000.
