Radio-Mercury Awards Moving To La-La Land

The 2008 Radio-Mercury Awards are moving to star-studded Los Angeles with a new date, a new city, and a fresh approach.

On May 21, the radio industry will recognize and reward the creators of the best radio commercials with over $160,000 in prizes, including the $100,000 grand prize.

In conjunction with the earlier date, the call-to-enter time frame has been adjusted to Dec. 7 through Feb. 22.

The annual Radio-Mercury Awards competition draws entries from advertising agencies, production houses, and radio stations across the country. Entry fees for the 2008 Radio-Mercury Awards are $125 per commercial. PSA and Student entries are $30 each. The late entry deadline is Feb. 29, with a late entry fee of $150. There is no late fee for PSA or student entries.
