Shopaholic Heaven

  • September 12, 2000
With the likes of New York magazine's Corky Pollan as a guide, shoppers are in for the spree of their lives as they browse through New York Shops, the new shopping guide published by New York magazine. The newsstand-only guide escorts New Yorkers and visitors alike on the ultimate shopping expedition as it pounds the pavement in search of the season's hottest style trends; offers up practical advice on where to track down clothes, gifts, housewares, furniture, and more; and rediscovers previously overlooked neighborhoods and shops. The issue, the first in a series of special guides to be published by New York magazine, hits newsstands on Friday, September 15, 2000 and will remain on-sale until December 15, 2000. Longstanding New York advertisers, such as ABC Carpet & Home, Barneys New York, Bloomingdale's, Calvin Klein Cosmetics, Burberrys, Chanel, David Yurman, Giorgio Armani, and Macy's, supported this publishing effort by placing their ads within the premiere issue. In addition, Bruno Magli, Country Road Australia, DKNY, Marina Rinaldi, George Smith, Sisley, Worth Collection, St. John, and Tse embraced New York Shops as a first-time opportunity to run with New York magazine.
