  • April 1, 2009
AT&T will begin offering "mini laptops" (aka Netbooks) for as low as $49.99 with the purchase of the company's combination home and mobile broadband Internet services in a trial limited to Atlanta and Philadelphia.

"Broadband is not just about speed anymore -- it's about mobility," said David Christopher, chief marketing officer of AT&T Mobility and Consumer Markets, in a statement. "Mini laptops with AT&T's home, Wi-Fi, and mobile broadband offerings enable consumers to get the most from their new devices, virtually anywhere, anytime."--Aaron Baar
