As thousands of laid off dot-com employees pound the pavement in search of new jobs, almost half say they would risk working for another dot-com if the opportunity arose. According to the 293 laid off
dot-com employees polled by Vault, the Insider Career Network(tm), 49% said they would be willing to work for another dot-com, while 51% said they are no longer interested in working in the Internet
industry. According to Vault co-founder and career expert Mark Oldman, "There's still plenty of people interested in the Internet industry for its high-energy culture, casual workplaces, and long-term
potential for financial reward."
