Crackle takes a crack at the world

Crackle, the Sony Pictures Entertainment's U.S.-based Hulu wannabe, is going international – expanding into other English-language territories, the United Kingdom and Australia.

The video site which feature Sony TV and movie content – as well as original TV shows and other short-form content, can also be seen on AOL, Bebo, Boxee, Break, Dailymotion, Friendster, Metacafe and YouTube,  and on Sony’s Bravia Internet Video enabled television sets.

Crackle has a fraction of Hulu unique visitors – around three million a month versus Hulu's 45 million. Not only that but because Hulu runs many more full-length TV shows, the time spent on the Hulu site per user is close to a hour versus around five minutes for Crackle.
